A 41-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning and charged with assault after breaking into a home in Brunswick with a bat and a knife.

Timothy Miller from Brunswick was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, criminal mischief, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and violating conditions of release.
Man was Yelling When He Broke into House with No Shirt
The Brunswick Police Department said Miller broke into the home on Linnell Circle around 6:41 am. He was yelling and was not wearing a shirt.
Burglar had Injuries to the Face and Body
When Officers arrived on the scene, they found Miller with several injuries to his face and body.
Assailant Injured by Homeowner Defending Himself
Police said the homeowner defended himself and caused the injuries to the suspect.
Suspect and Victim Knew Each Other
“The homeowner and Miller knew each other,” according to Old Orchard PD.
Man Tried to Break into Another Residence
Miller left the man’s home and was trying to break into another home when police apprehended him.
Taken to the Hospital with Injuries and Released to Police
He was transported to Mid Coast Hospital for medical attention.
Held at County Jail Without Bail
He was released and was held without bail at the Cumberland County Jail.
