
Auburn Mom Pleads Not Guilty in the Death of her 2 1/2-Year-Old Daughter
A 24-year-old Auburn woman pleaded not guilty in court today on a murder charge in the death of her young daughter.

Leanna Norris appeared in Penobscot County Superior Court in in Bangor after she was indicted last week on a murder charge in the death of her 2 ½-year-old daughter, Loh Grenda.
The child's body was discovered around 3 a.m. June 23 in Norris’ car in Stetson, Maine. Police believe the girl was killed in the near by town of Newport.
Norris was arrested after she was released from a medical center where she was receiving treatment.
The girl’s death was declared to be a homicide, but autopsy results are still pending.
Norris is being held without bail pending her next court appearance.
