A 47-year-old man wanted on drug charges was apprehended Tuesday after refusing to surrender to U.S. Marshals in Brunswick.

Wanted Man Arrested on Several Warrants

Nathon Taylor had multiple State of Maine failure-to-appear warrants for his arrest.

Fugitive Located in Vehicle and Stopped

The U.S. Marshals Service Maine Violent Offender Task Force located him in a vehicle in Brunswick.

Refused to Exit Vehicle and Comply with Commands

He was stopped and refused to exit the vehicle and comply with orders from law enforcement after repeated commands.

Less-Than-Lethal Devices Deployed to Apprehend Fugitive

“Less‑than‑lethal devices were deployed, after which Taylor continued to refuse surrender but was ultimately taken into custody,” according to U.S. Marshals.

Man Wanted after Drug Arrest in April 2025

Taylor was wanted after his arrest in April 2025. He fled into the woods from police during the execution of a search warrant in Auburn.

Fled from Officers and Hid in Shed

He was arrested after hiding in a shed. Officers recovered several drug packages he had thrown as he fled.

Drugs Seized During Search Warrant

Police seized approximately 150 grams of fentanyl, 330 grams of cocaine, over 70 grams of heroin and more than 20 grams of crack cocaine inside the residence. The street value of the drugs was $90,000.

Man and Woman Arrested with Suspect in 2025

A 41-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were also arrested and taken to jail.

Police Assisted in the Arrest

The Brunswick Police Department assisted U.S. Marshals in the apprehension and arrest on Tuesday.
