A 38-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday night and charged with drug trafficking after a traffic stop in Lewiston.

Drugs Seized and Arrest

Stephanie Lockhart was taken into custody after officers seized 21.4 grams of fentanyl and approximately 2 grams of crack cocaine.

“Trying to Hide Items”

The Lewiston Police Department said Lockhart was a passenger in the vehicle and people inside the car were “trying to hide items.”

Criminal Charges

Lockhart was charged with aggravated drug trafficking, unlawful possession of fentanyl, unlawful possession of cocaine base, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, falsifying physical evidence, and violating conditions of release.

Bail Set at $1,500

She was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail with bail set at $1,500.

Active Investigation

The driver was also charged for improper license plates. The investigation is ongoing.
