
Woman Died after Head-On Collision with Truck in Maine
A 52-year-old woman died Monday after a head-on collision on Sokokis Trail in Cornish.
Woman Died in Crash
Donna Weber from Limerick was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:42 pm.
Vehicle Crossed into Oncoming Traffic
The Maine State Police said her Ford Fusion crossed the centerline and crashed head-on with a Ford F-350 hauling a trailer carrying two pickups. The truck driver was not injured.
Road Closed for Hours
The road was closed for several hours as the Maine State Police Traffic Safety Unit reconstructed the scene.
Ongoing Crash Investigation
The Commercial Vehicle Unit also assisted, along with the help of local fire and EMS. The crash is under investigation, said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
