Two men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery and assault in Minto, N.B.

On August 24 around 4:15 a.m., three men armed with firearms attacked and robbed a man of an undisclosed amount of money on Pleasant Drive in Minto. The victim was treated in hospital for minor injuries. Two men were located and arrested by police during the day following the incident in Minto.

Allan Colwell, a 20-year-old man from Minto, appeared in court on August 24 and was charged with robbery with a firearm. Jody McNeill, a 45-year-old man also from Minto, appeared in court on August 25 and was also charged with robbery using a firearm.

RCMP are still looking for the third man involved in the incident. Police do not believe this was a random act and there is no imminent risk to the public.
