Two people died and several were injured after carbon monoxide poisoning at a former illegal marijuana grow house in Freedom, Maine.

The home on Belfast Road was previously the site of an illegal marijuana grow operation, said WABI News.
Carbon Monoxide from a Heat Exhaust Pipe
The Freedom Fire Department responded to the scene around 6 am Tuesday morning for a reported propane leak, and determined it was carbon monoxide coming from a heat exhaust pipe.
Cause of Leak under Investigation
The cause of the leak is under investigation by the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and Maine State Police.
