Three People Arrested for Drug Trafficking & Possession in Maine
Two men and a woman were arrested Friday evening for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Possession after a search warrant in Auburn resulted in a large amount of drugs seized.
Three People Arrested for Drug Trafficking and Possession in Maine
The search warrant was executed at 5:30 pm at an apartment at 102 South Main Street by the Auburn Police Department’s Proactive Community Enforcement Unit, the Criminal Investigations Division and the Patrol Division.
Large Quantity of Drugs Seized
Eight people were in the residence when law enforcement arrived. Multiple drug were seized including 198 grams of crack, 91 grams of cocaine, 8.6 grams of fentanyl, 2 grams of MDMA, 2 grams of ketamine, 518 MDMA pills (ecstasy), 99 Xanax pills.
Firearms and Drug Proceeds
Police also seized two firearms, ammunition, approximately $6,888 in suspected drug proceeds, and other drug trafficking evidence.
Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Possession
Three people were arrested and taken into custody. Thirty-three-year-old Syrus Hampton from Mattapan, Massachusetts, 36-year-old Sabian Walker from Auburn, 33-year-old Caprice McAndrew from Hyde Park, Massachusetts.
Suspects Charged
Hampton was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Possession and Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Police said “no bail was allowed due to Hampton’s extensive criminal history, including his current status on federal probation.”
Walker was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Possession and Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
McAndrew was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Unlawful Drug Possession.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash for Walker and McAndrew.
Ongoing Investigation
The Auburn Police Department said “this search warrant was based on an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.” More charges are expected
