Ahead of the release of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, let’s take a look back at when Jim Hopper came to Maine.
Over the past decade, Stranger Things has grown into one of the most recognizable shows in the world, making any connections between its fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, and our Pine Tree State especially noteworthy.

In August of 2023, The Theater at Monmouth welcomed back David Harbour, who had performed there early in his career.
From 1994 to 1997, The Theater’s stage served as his creative playground, making his return to Monmouth after his recent success a full-circle moment.

That Saturday evening, Harbour took the stage for a Q-and-A session, with proceeds supporting the theater’s educational programs and helping guide the next generation of talent.
While in Maine, he also made stops at the A1 Diner and the Auburn Mall, where he happily posed for photos with fans.
