Charged with Drug Trafficking Fentanyl and Meth in Maine

Adam Gill from Peru, Maine was charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Sentenced to 60 Months with Three Years Supervised Release

He was given 60 months imprisonment with three years of supervised release. Gill pleaded guilty to the charges. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Lance E. Walker handed down the sentence.

Controlled Purchase of Drugs by Law Enforcement

Law enforcement did a controlled substance purchase of approximately 20 grams of fentanyl and 36 grams of methamphetamine from Gill on March 29, 2024.

Drugs from Dominican Street Gang Sold at Suspect’s Home

Gill got the drugs from a juvenile male associated with the Trinitario street gang from the Dominican Republic. The seller went to Gill’s residence to make the transaction.

Dominican Street Gang Called the Trinitarios Drug Traffic in Maine and New England

The United States Attorney’s Office said “The Trinitarios are a Dominican-based street gang with vast operations in Northern Massachusetts who routinely travel to points in Maine to distribute fentanyl, methamphetamine, and crack cocaine.”

Gang Used Drug-Addicts to Sell Narcotics to Locals in the Area

The Department of Justice said “as with Gill, the Trinitarios frequently find drug-addicted individuals in Maine with stable housing; they then utilize the drug-addicted individual’s house to distribute drugs, employing the addict to middle drug transactions with locals.”
