Every year, 56 schools across the country are chosen to design a one of a kind ornament for the 2019 National Christmas Tree display on the Ellipse in President’s Park. 56 ornaments representing 56 states, territories, and DC. Each year a different school is chosen and this year the honor goes to Presque Isle High School.

Over 1,500 students will use the state flower, flags, and whatever monuments they can think of to create an ornament that best signifies their state, all in partnership with the National Parks. The National Christmas Tree experience will begin on Thursday, Dec. 5 with the 97th Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony according to WAGM.
