One person died in a crash Friday night after the vehicle landed in a body of water near 2445 Main Road in Carroll.
One Person Died after a Single-Vehicle Crash in Maine
The accident happened around 9:30 pm. The driver was the only one in the vehicle. Name and age were not released until the family was notified.
People at the Scene Tried to Help Driver
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle “ran off the roadway and into a body of water. Citizens at the scene made several attempts to assist and provide medical aid to the operator.”
Ongoing Investigation
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Accident Reconstruction Team was investigating the crash.
