One Man Died after Two-Vehicle Crash in Maine
A 79-year-old man died Monday after a two-vehicle crash on River Road in North Anson.
Man Died and Woman not Injured
Leroy Welch died at the scene of the crash. The woman in the other vehicle was not injured, said the Morning Sentinel.
Passing Vehicle Hit Turning Vehicle
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said Welch was turning left when his vehicle was hit by another vehicle trying to pass him.
Speed believed to be a Factor
Deputies believe speed was a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing. The woman’s name and age were not released.
