Police have arrested a 31-year-old New Brunswick man in connection with a robbery that took place in Geary earlier this week.

Police say that at around 8 p.m. Monday night, a man wearing a mask entered the Petro-Canada gas station on Broad Road demanding money.

The thief made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and tobacco products. Luckily, no one was injured.

Members of the Oromocto RCMP responded to the scene and apprehended Troy Frederick Parker of Wirral, N.B., a few hours later. Search warrants were also executed on a vehicle and at a home in Geary.

Parker appeared in Burton Provincial Court on Tuesday and was charged with robbery and committing an indictable offense while wearing a mask. Parker waived his bail hearing and was remanded into custody until his next court appearance, scheduled for later this month.
