
Man Charged with Robbery after Car Theft with Knife in Maine
A 33-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and charged with Robbery and Criminal Threatening after an attempted vehicle theft and stabbing in Portland.
Charged with Robbery and Criminal Threatening
Seth Mccallum was charged with Robbery, Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, Aggravated Criminal Mischief, Theft by Unauthorized Use of Property and Interference with Constitutional Rights.
Wielding a Knife
The Portland Police Department said Mccallum was wielding a knife and was arrested.
“Attempted to Stab Victim”
Witnesses told officers “Mccallum attempted to stab the victim, before getting into the victim’s vehicle and driving a short distance.” The vehicle had two slashed tires and other damage.
Taken to Jail
He was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
Active Investigation
No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
