Maine’s McDonald’s Just Won’t Feel the Same After This Change
So here’s something that sounds pretty minor but to a lot of us, is not!
Yep, we’re talking changes at the iconic golden arches, McDonalds. Apparently, they are slowly getting rid of the the self-serve soda machines. What?
I know, it’s a not scam, according to The New York Post, they want to phase them out by 2032.
Those machines give you something to do while you wait for your food, right?
A lot of McD’s locations are already switching to having employees make the drinks behind the counter. No, this is not going to work.

But I guess it’s all a part of a bigger push to modernize the restaurants as well as cut down on maintenance. As per the report, they want to continue to keep things moving faster, but how is the people behind the counter filling up your drink going to help with that?
Especially if you are like me and do a little splash of Fanta with your Root Beer.
I suppose this makes sense, but if you live in Maine, you know it’s the routines that count for us. Grabbing your own drink, topping it off while you wait, going back for a refill. Now, you’ll have to ask for a refill.
It takes away that routine and convenience and replaces it with something we probably don't want. I guess we'll see how it goes. What do you think?

And yeah, I think people in Maine are probably going to notice.
