Man Seriously Injured after He Fell Asleep & Hit a Tree in Maine
A 76-year-old man was seriously injured after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing head-on into a tree in Harpswell on Monday night.
Driver Fell Asleep at the Wheel
Jeffrey Berkowitz was transported to Maine Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, said WGME News.
Man Crashed Head-On into a Tree
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Berkowitz was driving a 2006 Aston Martin when he fell asleep at the wheel, left the roadway and collided with a tree on Harpswell Neck Road.
Emergency Personnel Provided Aid
Harpswell Neck Fire Department were also on the scene as first responders.
