A 31-year-old man was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison for drug trafficking and money laundering in Maine.

Alex Hanna from California was charged with conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and money laundering.
138 Months in Prison
He was given 138 months with five years of supervised release. Hanna pleaded guilty in March 2024.
Meth Trafficking
Hanna and co-conspirators trafficked meth into Maine between May 2022 and March 2023, according to court records.
Coordinated Drug Shipments
Hanna coordinated drug shipments from California to Maine and found co-conspirators.
Concealed Involvement
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said “he also sent the sales proceeds to the source via Walmart2Walmart, Cash App and Venmo, using co-conspirators' identifications and accounts to conceal his involvement in the transactions.”
