Man Charged with Making Online Threats in Maine
A man was charged with sending interstate threats on social media in 2024.

Thadius Wind was taken into custody by the FBI after the agency received info from Facebook about the threats against police and the military.

The public also sent the FBI info about threatening statements shared on X.
Search Warrant
The FBI executed a search warrant for the X account and recovered threatening comments.
Threatening Online Posts Recovered
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said “the recovered posts contained threats to Jews, political figures, the Supreme Court, and others. Details associated with the account were traced to Thadius Wind.”
Ongoing Investigation
The case is under investigation by the FBI, Secret Service and the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
