Speed & Alcohol Factors after Motorcycle Fled & Crashed in Maine
A 36-year-old man on a motorcycle was injured Thursday after trying to flee from Deputies and crashed on a closed part of the 395 extension in Eddington.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said speed and alcohol were factors in the incident.
Man Tried to Flee from Deputies
The man on the motorcycle “accelerated faster” as a Deputy tried to pull him over with emergency lights on.
Rider Fell Off Motorcycle
The man on the motorcycle locked up his brakes when he came to a dirt portion of the road blocked near Route 9. “The motorcycle tipped over and the driver fell off,” said the Sheriff’s Office.
Man Injured and Not Wearing Helmet
The rider was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Suspended License
“The man was out on bail and had a suspended license,” said Deputies.
