A 45-year-old man accused of being a drug ringleader in Maine faces additional charges for threatening investigators.

More than 12 People Charged in Criminal Conspiracy

Lucas Sirois was arrested in October 2020 along with more than 12 people and charged with criminal conspiracy operation of industrial cultivation and distribution of marijuana.

Drug Trafficking Operation

The drug trafficking group was called the “Sirois Organization” and was a $13 million dollar operation, according to WGME News.

Charged for Threatening Witnesses

Sirois is accused of meeting with witnesses in the case and threatening them, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Additional Gun Charges

Police said Sirois was arrested after taking guns from a witness. He faces charges for receiving a gun while under indictment.

Deputies Pleaded Guilty

The case involved public officials and law enforcement in the Rangeley area. Two deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office pleaded guilty to tipping Sirois off about the investigation. The Deputies were given money and vehicles for the information.

Selectman Charged in the Case

A Selectman from Rangeley was also charged for taking tens of thousands of dollars and a Franklin County D.A. pleaded guilty to tampering with documents.

Wife and Father Charged

Sirois’ wife and father were also charged in the investigation.
