Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking after Crash in Maine

A 31-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for Aggravated Drug Trafficking after a two-vehicle crash on Main Street in Westbrook.

Drug Trafficking and Possession Charges

Brandon Steele was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Possession and a probation hold was placed on him.

Driver was “Distracted and Speeding”

Westbrook Police said Steele was driving the car that caused the crash. He was “distracted and speeding.” His vehicle ended up on its side.

Probation and Drugs Seized

Steele was on probation at the time. Officers searched his vehicle and seized approximately 44 grams of Cocaine.

Traffic Disrupted

No injuries were reported. The name and age of the other driver was not released. Traffic in the area was disrupted.
