Man and Woman Charged with Drug Trafficking in Maine
A man and a woman were charged with drug trafficking after a large amount of drugs were found during a traffic stop in Skowhegan.
Man and Woman Charged with Drug Trafficking
The Skowhegan Police Department said 39-year-old Mike Medeiros and 27-year-old Michaela Higgins of Madison, both from Skowhegan, were arrested Saturday on West Front Street.
Drugs Seized after Search
Officers searched their vehicle and seized 6 grams of fentanyl, 3.8 grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, and $240 in suspected drug proceeds.
Both Charged with Furnishing Drugs
Medeiros was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Unlawfully Furnishing of a scheduled drug. He also violated two separate sets of Bail Conditions. Higgins faces charges for Unlawful Drug Trafficking and Unlawfully Furnishing of a schedule drug.
Taken to Jail
Medeiros and Higgins were both taken to the Somerset County Jail.
