
Man and Woman Charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking in Maine
A man and woman were arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking after a large amount of narcotics was seized in Auburn.
Man Charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking
The Auburn Police Department said 27-year-old Mouamed Mouamed was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Possession and Violation of Conditions of Release.
Prior Convictions
Mohamed is a convicted drug trafficker and was on probation and subject to a search.
Safe Contained Narcotics
Officers searched an unreported residence on Center Street where he was staying. Police located a safe and believed it contained illegal drugs.
Drugs and Money Seized
A search warrant was obtained for the safe and police seized 121 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, 4.1 grams of crack, 1.2 grams of suspected fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and approximately $7,671 in suspected drug proceeds.
Woman Charged
A 27-year-old woman, Shaima Naji, was also arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Trafficking and Unlawful Drug Possession.
Active Drug Investigation
They were both taken to the Androscoggin County Jail. The investigation remains open.
