Long Lake Fishing Derby, January 26th & 27th
The Long Lake Fishing Derby is Saturday, January 26 & Sunday, 27 with activities and competition taking place at Long Lake Sporting Club as the main area.
Fishing is on Long Lake, Cross, Eagle, St. Froid, Square, Beau, Galzier, Portage Lake + Carr Pond & St. John River.
Anglers compete for the largest salmon, togue, brook trout, muskie & other catches. Cash prizes this year are $18,500.
The derby started in 2006 and is billed as Maine's largest ice fishing derby. Benefits go to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund.
