A 55-year-old man was trapped inside a box truck after a crash on I-95 in Howland.

Kwasi Baidu was extricated from the freightliner box truck and taken to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.
Early Morning Single-Vehicle Crash on I-95
The single-vehicle crash happened around 5:02 am Friday on I-95 northbound near Howland.

Freightliner was 50 Feet from the Road following Accident
The truck was 50 feet off the road when Maine State Troopers responded to the scene of the accident.
Speed and Road Conditions Believed to be Factors in the Crash
“Speed and snow/rain conditions were likely factors in the crash,” according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Lane Closed on I-95 for Vehicle Removal
The interstate was reduced to one lane in the area while the vehicle was cleared from the crash site.
