The Woodstock Fire department responded to the blaze along Route 595 in the Bull Lake area just before 2 p.m. Crews arrived to find the mini home fully involved with flames coming from the gable ends and rear door, according to Fire Chief Ricky Nicholson. Crews quickly knocked down the blaze.

Canadian Red Cross spokesman Dan Bedell said the tenent wasn’t home at the time so there were no injuries, but he lost nearly all his belongings.

The man is staying with a friend for now, and Red Cross volunteers have been helping with emergency purchases including clothing, food and personal care items.

Chief Nicholson said the fire originated in the laundry room. The New Brunswick Fire Marshal's Office is investigating to determine the exact cause.
