A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with arson after four vehicles were destroyed by fire in Lebanon, Maine.

Jayce Racicot from Rochester, New Hampshire was taken into custody after an arrest warrant was issued.

Four Vehicles Destroyed by Fire

The four vehicles were destroyed on April 6 at 158 Upper Barley Road.

Firefighters and Fire Marshal Responded to a Fire in Wooded Area

The Lebanon Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal's Office responded to the wooded lot around 2 pm.

Three of the Vehicles Owned by Man’s Grandfather

The lot is owned by his grandfather who owned three of the burned vehicles.

Fires Ruled Arson and Arrest Warrant Issued

“Following an investigation, the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fires to be arson and subsequently issued an arrest warrant,” according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Suspect was Apprehended and Charged with Arson

Racicot was apprehended by the Rochester Police Department on April 10 and charged with arson.

Transported to Jail with Fugitive from Justice Hearing

He was taken to Strafford County Department of Corrections. A fugitive from justice hearing was scheduled.
