A 35-year man was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for being a felon in possession of a gun in Lewison.

30 Months for Firearms Charges

Keon Shine (aka Keylin Hall) was alos given three years supervised release. He pleaded guilty on July 20. 2024.

Convicted Felon with Firearm

Shine was a convicted felon in 2017 and had previously spent 6.5 years in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm. He was on federal probation at the time of his arrest in June 2023.

Gun in Vehicle

The Lewiston Police Department said Shine was a passenger in a vehicle during a traffic stop. The driver told officers there was a gun in the center console.

Glock Belonged to Felon

Shine admitted to ATF agents that the Glock belonged to him, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Federal and Local Investigators

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Lewiston Police investigated the case.
