Police are in the process of investigating the death of a Maine woman who was found by a relative who had gone to the home to check on her.

State Police and Knox countySheriff's Office are continuing to search for clues in the death of 83-year old Helen Carver, who lived alone and was found dead in her home on Thursday afternoon.

Carver's body was found in her Owls Head home, located at 20 South Shore Drive.

Knox Deputies responded to the house on the afternoon of February 21 and were later joined by State Police detectives, as the two agencies are continuing their investigation concerning the circumstances of Carver's death.
