Driver Arrested for Manslaughter & OUI after Fatal Crash in Maine
One person died Saturday night and a 43-year-old was arrested for manslaughter and operating under the influence after a head-on collision in Gray.
One Person Died after Crash with Drunk Driver
The crash happened near Portland Road and Sugar Maple Road, said WABI News.
Charged with Manslaughter and OUI
Police arrested 43-year-old driver Jean Nshimiyimana of South Portland for manslaughter and OUI.
Two Minors in the Vehicle Taken to the Hospital
The other driver involved in the crash died at the scene. Two minors were also in the vehicle. They were taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Names and ages were not released.
Police Believe Alcohol and Speed Factors in Crash
Police said they believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. The investigation remains open.
Driver in Jail without Bail
Nshimiyimana was taken to Cumberland County Jail and is being held without bail.
