A 61-year-old man died after a crash Saturday night on I-95 in Edinburg.

Bruce Ireland from Howland was pronounced dead at the scene around 7:50 pm.
Lost Control of the Vehicle on Wet Roads and Hit the Median
The Maine State Police said Ireland was travelling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his 2012 Honda Accord on wet roads and hit the wooded median.
Not Wearing a Seatbelt at the Time of the Crash
He was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened, according to Troopers.

Driver was the Only One in the Vehicle and No other Vehicles Involved
There was no one else in the vehicle and no other vehicle was involved in the accident.
Traffic Reduced to One Lane While the Crash was Cleared
“Traffic was reduced to one lane for about three hours while emergency personnel worked the incident,” said the Maine Department of Public Safety.
