A 35-year-old man was arrested Monday and charged with Attempted Murder after a 52-year-old was stabbed multiple times in Lebanon.

Suspect in Jail with Cash Bail Set at $150,000

Jeremy Potvin from New Hampshire was taken into custody and transported to the York County Jail with cash bail set at $150,000.

Victim Left the Residence to Seek Medical Help

The York County Sheriff’s Office was responding to a disturbance call on West Lebanon Road around 2 pm when dispatch informed the deputies that the victim had left the residence to get medical attention.

Victim Located after Stabbing

Shortly after, Deputy Jason Solomon located the victim on Carl Broggi Highway and called rescue units to the scene.

Stab Wounds in the Chest, Face, Back and Head

“The victim sustained seven stab wounds to the chest, face, back, and head. He was transported to Maine Medical Center due to the extent of his injuries,” said the Sheriff’s Office.

Suspect Located and Apprehended by Police

Potvin was identified as the suspect and was located by the Berwick Police Department and held for Deputy Solomon.

Physical Altercation Escalated after Disagreement

Investigators said Potvin went to the home of the victim and a physical altercation broke out after a disagreement escalated. The victim was stabbed several times.

Suspect In Custody with Court Date Set

Potvin remains in custody and has a court date set for Wednesday, October 22 at 1 pm at the York Judicial Center in Biddeford.
