Caribou Man Died after Motorcycle Crash in Fort Fairfield, Maine
A 69-year-old man from Caribou died Sunday evening after a motorcycle crash on Presque Isle Road (Route 167) in Fort Fairfield.
Died after Motorcycle Crash
The Fort Fairfield Police Department said Tony Disy was driving his Honda around 4:45 pm when he “drifted off of the road coming to a rest on the paved shoulder of the roadway.”
First Aid Given at Crash Site
First responders administered aid at the scene and Disy was taken to Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle.
Pronounced Dead at the Hospital
Disy died from his injuries at the hospital.
May have had a Medical Episode Before Crash
“Upon interviewing witnesses and investigating the crash scene, it is believed that Mr. Disy may have suffered a medical episode prior to the incident,” said Matthew E. Cummings, Fort Fairfield Police Chief.
Not Wearing a Helmet
Disy was not wearing a helmet. His motorcycle had minimal damage and was towed away.
