Branch Resigns With Pats For Two Years
A busy Thursday continued for the New England Patriots as they locked up Alan Branch to a contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2018 season.
Branch just finished his 10th season in the league and complied 1.5 sacks and 26 tackles during the 2016 campaign for the Pats. He also was a key contributor in stopping the run for the Super Bowl winning side. Branch has been with New England since 2014.
The Pats also agreed on a deal with DB Stephon Gilmore and are reported to be interested in a trade with the Saints to acquire Brandin Cooks for Malcolm Butler.
