The U.S. Border Patrol said over “42 illegal aliens detained in Maine have been flown out of the state.”
Flight Departed from Presque Isle, Maine
The flight departed from Presque Isle, Maine on May 23 and landed in Detroit, Michigan for deportation proceedings.
National Security Priorities
“The rise in apprehensions over the course of this year reflects the hard work credited to the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol in carrying out national security priorities with inter-agency partners,” said Acting Chief Patrol Agent Christopher Kuhn.
24-Year High in Apprehensions
Arrests by Maine Border Patrol Agents hit a 24-year high in April 2025. Agents apprehended 113 people crossing illegally from 16 different countries, according to WGME News.
