A 61-year-old man died after he was hit by a SUV in Portland.
Pedestrian Died after being Hit by SUV
The Portland Police Department said the vehicle and pedestrian crash happened around 12:20 pm at the intersection of India Street and Fore Street.
Woman Turning When Man was Struck
A 69-year-old woman was taking a left hand turn in an SUV when Joe Lewis from Portland was hit.
Died at Hospital from Injuries
Lewis was taken to Maine Medical Center where he died from his injuries, said WGME News.
Police Investigating Crash
The crash investigation is ongoing. Information about whether charges are possible was not released.
