3 ������ Pounds of Drugs Worth $90,000 Seized in Maine
A 52-year-old man was arrested for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Firearms Possession after a search and seizure of drugs and guns in Brownfield.
Felon was under Investigation
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Maine State Police have been investigating convicted felon, Joey St. Hilaire, for possession of firearms by a prohibited person and drug trafficking.
Suspect Detained in Driveway
St. Hilaire was in the driveway when agents executed a warrant Wednesday at 7 Fulcher Lane. He was detained without incident.
Second Warrant for Drugs
Agents and Maine State Police found evidence of drug use and trafficking in the house. The search was paused and an additional warrant was issued for drug trafficking.
Over Three Pounds of Drugs Seized
A loaded 9mm handgun and a rifle were seized as well as over 500 rounds of ammunition. Three and a half pounds of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine packaged for resale were confiscated.
Drugs Street Value of $90,000
The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $90,000. Scales, packaging materials and over $25,000 in suspected drug proceeds were also seized.
Drug Trafficking and Firearms Possession
St. Hilaire was charged with three counts of Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Bail set at $75,000
St. Hilaire was taken to the Oxford County Jail with his bail set at $75,000.
