A 24-year-old man was sentenced to six years in prison for robbing Bangor Savings Bank in Waterville and Circle K in Fairfield in 2023.

Man Threatened Bank Teller and Demanded Cash

In October 2023, Sterling showed a threatening note to a teller at the bank and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Sterling also robbed a Circle K on November 1, 2023.

Both robberies were captured on surveillance footage.

Trevor Miller - Kennebec County Jail

Suspect and Getaway Driver Arrested

Sterling and a getaway driver, Trevor Miller, were arrested later in the day on November 1, 2023.

Restitution Payments

Sterling was ordered to pay $176 in restitution to Circle K and $485 to Bangor Savings.
