A 17-year-old died and a moose was killed early Tuesday morning after a crash in the area of 789 Poplar Street in T3 Indian Purchase.

The Maine State Police said Landon Gardner of Millinocket was found deceased when Troopers arrived on the scene.
Moose Found Dead in the Road
“A deceased moose was found in the center of the roadway,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
Early Morning Crash
Gardner was the only one in the vehicle when the crash happened around 12:06 am.
First Responders and Law Enforcement
The East Millinocket Police Department assisted the Maine State Police.
