
12-Year-Old Injured after Scooter Crash with Vehicle in Maine
A 12-year-old male was seriously injured on a scooter after a crash with a vehicle in Portland on Tuesday.
Scooter Going Wrong Way
The Portland Police Department said the child was “driving an electric scooter the wrong way on Sherman Street and crossed through the intersection without stopping.”
Crash at Intersection
The crash happened at the intersection of Mellen Street and Sherman Street around 12:49 pm.
Driver not Injured
The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old man from Portland, was not injured.
12-Year-Old Transported to the Hospital with Injuries
The 12-year-old was seriously injured and taken to Maine Medical Center.
No Charges
The crash is under investigation. No charges were expected, said Portland PD.
