Woodstock Police Search For Driver of SUV in Alleged Hit-and-Run

Woodstock Police have been searching for a vehicle they say was involved in a hit-and-run collision Thursday morning on Connell Street.

The collision occurred in front of Pizza Delight between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., according to the Woodstock Police Force.  Police say a Silver Pontiac Vibe pulled out of the driveway at Pizza Delight and was struck from behind by a late model red Honda SUV.

Witnesses reported that the Honda SUV left the scene before police arrived and drove through the Carleton Mall parking lot. The vehicle then went behind the mall and was last seen heading down Deakin Drive towards Main Street in Woodstock.

The driver of the Pontiac Vibe was not injured.
