Woman Tried to Flee on Foot after Hit and Run in Maine
A 35-year-old woman was arrested for a hit and run crash after trying to flee from police in Rockland.
Attempted Hit and Run
Police said Ashley Deahl pulled out in front of another vehicle on Route 1 around 2 pm.
Tried to Flee on Foot and Gave False Info
She then tried to flee on foot after giving police the wrong name and birthday, using a family member’s information.
Officer Injured during Arrest
During her apprehension, an officer was injured and required stitches.
Active Warrants
Deahl had warrants for her arrest and was out on five sets of bail conditions.
Drug Use and Passenger on Probation
Police found evidence of drug use in her vehicle. A passenger was also found to be violating probation and was taken into custody.
