Woman Injured in Crash after Falling Asleep Driving in Maine
A woman was injured Tuesday after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing in a concrete barrier on I-295 in Portland.

The crash happened around 3:05 pm on Tukey’s Bridge, said WGME News. Name and age were not released.
Woman Told Police she Fell Asleep Driving
The Maine State Police said the woman told Troopers she fell asleep while driving her SUV.
Crash Delayed Traffic
She crashed into a concrete barrier in the median of the road. Her vehicle blocked traffic in the northbound passing lane. Traffic was delayed for close to 45 minutes.
Transported to the Hospital with Injuries
She was taken to Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.
