Woman Died after Crashing into Pole in Maine
A woman died Friday night after a single-vehicle crash in Berwick.
Collided with Pole
The Berwick Police Department said she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and hit a pole.
Crash at Intersection
The crash happened around 8:30 pm at the intersection of New Dam Road and Route 236.
Speed Appears to be Factor
“Speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash,” said Berwick PD.
Road Closed for Hours
The road was closed for hours and reopened around 2 am Saturday morning.
Ongoing Investigation
The woman's name and age were not released. The investigation is ongoing.
