The reception is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm during the First Friday Downtown Art Walk.  Refreshments will be served.

Caitlin Sanipass is a self-taught, lifelong artist.  Her work is influenced by nature and natural landscapes.

I think being outside gives us all a refreshed, mind-clearing feeling, and I want to bring that to life in my paintings.

“I enjoy landscapes and nature-inspired visions because they allow me to feel the calm and sense of comfort I get when I am out and surrounded by all the natural wonder of the outdoors,” said Caitlin.

Caitlin grew up in the southern Maine towns of Parsonsfield and South Hiram where she recalls spending most of her time outside and in the woods.  She currently lives in Presque Isle with her husband and daughter.

My husband and I get to share our love [of the outdoors] with our daughter,” added Caitlin.  “One of our favorite places to spend time is on the trails at the Nordic Center.”

As a working artist, Caitlin shares her talents with both children and adults, often serving as Wintergreen’s artist for its popular guided-painting events:  Sip & Paint events for adults and Pizza ‘n Paint events for teens and tweens.

The public is invited to view and purchase pieces from Caitlin’s show “Inspired by Nature” at the center throughout the month of December.
