A 42-year-old man wanted for failing to report to jail was arrested with a 47-year-old man, and both were charged with Unlawful Drug Possession in Hermon.

Wanted Man with Multiple Arrest Warrants

Donald Searway from Glenburn had multiple warrants out for his arrest.

Sentenced to Two Years in Prison and Failed to Report to Jail

He had been sentenced to a two year prison term and did not report to jail. Searway was not in jail at the time of the guilty plea.

Failure to Report Affidavit and Arrest Warrant

An affidavit for failure to report was issued and an arrest warrant was granted on Probation and Parole conditions.

Deputies and Detectives Actively Looking for Wanted Man

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office and the Criminal Investigation Division were actively looking for him.

Deputies Located Man Driving a Vehicle and Pulled It Over

Deputies and Detectives located Searway on Wednesday. They pulled over the vehicle he was driving on Billings Road in Hermon.

During the traffic stop, Searway was charged with Unlawful Drug Possession for Fentanyl.

Wanted Man Taken into Custody and Transported to County Jail

He was held on a probation violation and taken to the Penobscot County Jail and booked.

Passenger Arrested and Charged with Unlawful Drug Possession

A 47-year-old passenger in the vehicle, Curt Leighton of Corinth, was also  charged with Unlawful Drug Possession for Fentanyl. He was released at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
