The Presque Isle Elks, Lodge #1954, will be expressing their gratitude to our military Veterans in a number of ways during the month of November," said Ireland. "In addition to hosting the free Sunday evening dinner on Veterans Day, the Presque Isle Elks currently stock and maintain a furniture bank for previously homeless Veterans who have been assisted in finding a home. Additionally, the Presque Isle Elks will be helping the Veterans of Foreign Wars with a Thanksgiving style meal on November 18, 2018.” Exalted Ruler Ireland continued, “The Presque Isle Elks financially support the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery and assist it in its fundraising activities.”

“Over Veterans Day weekend and during the entire month of November, Elks will recognize the service of all U.S. military Veterans through a wide variety of activities.” Ireland continued, “Throughout the entire year, however, Elks will always be mindful of the sacrifices made by our military Veterans and afford each the courtesies they should enjoy in accordance therewith.
