Two Plead Guilty After Seizure of Weapon, Drugs and Stolen Mail

The discovery of a weapon, drugs and stolen mail during a traffic stop in Perth-Andover has resulted in two people pleading guilty to numerous offenses.

Kathleen Paul of Tobique First Nation pleaded guilty on September 10 in Woodstock Provincial Court, to charges of obstruction, theft of mail, possession of break-in instruments and two counts of breach of probation. She was sentenced  to 106 days in jail.

22-year old Cody Michaud of Bairdsville also appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court on September 10 and pleaded guilty to obstruction, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of stolen mail, possession of break-in instruments and breach of conditions. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 9. He has also been charged with possession of methamphetamine but has yet to enter a plea on that charge.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a third person, 20-year-old Brendan Howe, of Perth-Andover, in connection with the investigation. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Howe after he failed to appear in court. He was scheduled in court on August 27 to face charges of possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of stolen mail and possession of break-in instruments.

Howe is described as being five feet four inches (163 centimetres) tall and weighing 132 pounds (60 kilograms) He has brown hair and brown eyes.
