Two People Arrested and Charged with Drug Trafficking in Maine
Two people were arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking after an undercover investigation in Belgrade.
MDEA Investigation
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said 27-year-old Mathew Lyons and 34-year-old Maryellen Remington were apprehended after a search warrant was executed at a home on Knowles Road.
Narcotics Seized
Agents seized 123.7 grams of fentanyl and an assortment of diverted pharmaceuticals.
Undercover Buys
The months-long investigation involved undercover buys of fentanyl, meth and crack at the residence.
Aggravated Drug Trafficking Charges
Lyons and Remington were both charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking. Remington was also charged with a warrant for failure to appear.
$8,000 Bail
His bail was set at $8,000. She was not allowed bail due to the warrant.
